Easter life - Easter Living!

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:4, 5

We have recently celebrated Easter. This is a celebration of the Resurrection. This is also a gathering of the living because of Christ who lives! But it is more than simply a day! It is a way! St. Paul reminds that because of God’s mercy and love even when we were dead in our trespasses we were made alive together with Christ! By the gift of grace you have been saved!

The Easter celebration continues. We gather during this season of the Resurrection to receive afresh the message of the cross of our risen Lord. This message is the power of God to save, renew and sustain us in faith each day our whole lives long! Again, the Resurrection celebration is more than simply a day! It is a way!

We might say that we are forever Easter people! This is because the Christian Faith is not just a religion it is a way of life and faith for you and for me. So, during this time of the year as life springs forth in this season we call Spring, may the Lord cause us to grow in the life of Jesus Christ! May he give us growth for the entire season of our lives because Easter life means Easter Living!
