A note from Pastor MacDonald:
We continue parking lot gatherings this weekend with our twin services, Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 10am. For these services the congregation is now invited to sit outside with appropriate spacing. Chairs will be set out in the parking area with 6-foot spacing. You may also bring your own chair of course and sit near your vehicle. An umbrella may be useful for shade. Some may wish to remain in their vehicles at this time. That is perfectly fine. Masks are recommended for all while seated outside. Also for any who are not feeling well please do not feel pressure to come out and join us during this time of transition to 6-foot seating. If you are not well it would be far better to remain at home for safety measures. We are blessed to gather and endeavor to do so in the safest way possible!
Looking ahead, the fourth of July weekend is soon upon us. Since our Saturday service would fall on the fourth of July this year, we will meet instead for our evening service on Friday July 3rd at 5pm. The Sunday service will remain the same being held on July 5th at 10am. Still at this time there will be no handout/bulletin, no Communion and no plates passed for an offering. The offering box and wagon for St. Andrews will remain at the curbside in front of the main church entrance. Again the main church doors will be open for bathroom access and masks are recommended for entrance to the bathrooms. As before, the bathrooms nearest the fellowship hall will be prepared with gel, wipes, and gloves for any who wish to use them.
Again, if there is any question about our gathering due to inclement weather, please phone the church office the day of the service for a recorded announcement. The church main line is 203-238-2331. We will also continue to record the service in advance and post it online as we also continue to mail home materials to others.
The Lord be with us in this time of transition!
In Christ, Pastor
