The Great Coming!

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..." - John 1:14

Advent is now upon us at Saint John Lutheran Church. “Advent” has to do with “coming.” This is the time of year that we celebrate the coming not only of a holiday, but of the Savior of the world born in a manger for you and for me! He is Christ the Lord!

This month we have the opportunity to celebrate Jesus’ coming and the true meaning of Christmas as we offer a three-week series on Wednesday evenings during Advent. We will explore The Apostles’ Creed together as we gather for three Wednesday evenings to share in these brief, devotional services at 7pm. Finally, for Christmas we look forward to celebrating together in our Christmas Eve service at 5pm. Christmas Day at 10am, we will also gather for our Sunday worship. Please join us!

This is the Great Coming that has changed the face of history; God become man for you and for me! This God came to earth to change his people through the forgiveness he earned in his life, death and resurrection.

As a congregation let us celebrate this great coming today and always! He is, after all, Christ our Lord!
