The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. --Revelation 1:1a
There is perhaps no more misunderstood book of the Bible than the Book of Revelation. One confusion that many people have is in thinking that this work is a compilation of various revelations. Nothing could be further from the truth. The very title shows us the singularity of this revelation. It is a revelation of Jesus Christ and by Jesus Christ. The Lord himself delivers it and it is truly about him. It is given to his servant John and to all God's people everywhere!
Over a period of time people have asked me if we could have a study on the Book of Revelation. Now is that time! As we begin the fall season there will be two Bible study offerings. Firstly, there will be our Sunday morning class at 9 am. We will be exploring the life and words of our Savior in the Gospel of St. Mark during that time. Classes will begin the Sunday after Labor Day in the lounge and will run throughout the year. Secondly, we will hold a special evening study on the Book of Revelation on Wednesday nights at 6 pm. We will hold 10 sessions beginning on Wednesday, September the 8th. This overview of the book will meet in our large Fellowship Hall to allow spacing for a larger group.
Join us for our studies in God's word together. All are welcome to any and to all sessions. May the Lord bless the coming season in our worship and study of his Word. May the revelation of Jesus Christ and his word strengthen our faith to live for and honor him each day!
