2009 Vacation Bible School

Make your reservations early!

Our theme for Vacation Bible School 2009 is “Crocodile Dock – Where Fearless Kids Shine God’s Light.” VBS will run from Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon each day. Registration for children from grades preK through 4 are still being accepted, but space is limited. There is a $5.00 per child fee. We are again expecting to provide a fun and educational week for over 75 children, but we need your help. We are in need of one more teacher, a recess leader, a snack leader, and many volunteers. If you can donate your time in any capacity, please call Donna Rackie at (203) 679-0651 or email her at ddrackie@sbcglobal.net. We also provide crafts and snacks for our kids as they trek through the swamps and bayou to learn about Jesus. We need the following: Snack items such as cookies, crackers, etc, juice, small cups, and napkins; and craft items including tissue paper (burning bush/fire colors preferred), 100 small Styrofoam bowls, and 100 dinner-sized paper plates. If you can donate any of these items, it would be appreciated. A box will be located in the narthex for donations.
Our 2009 VBS will be held from Monday through Friday, July 13–17, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon each day. VBS has been growing by leaps and bounds over the past few years, so be sure to contact us early so you don't get left out!

Walther League Tag Sale

Please come and support our youth!

The Walther League will hold their annual Tag Sale in the fellowship hall on Friday and Saturday, July 24–25, from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM both days. As you do your spring cleaning, please save your clean, gently used items — no junk, please — for the Tag Sale. To avoid any conflicts with Vacation Bible School, which runs from July 13–17, donations will be accepted beginning July 18, not earlier. If you have any questions, or need someone to pick up items, please call Ellen Ness at (860) 621-7571.

Food Collection Sundays

Help out in our community.

The first Sunday of each month is Food Collection Sunday. There is a designated spot in the Information Center (next to Pastor Jim's study) for you to put your non-perishable food items throughout the month. On the first Sunday of the month, the food will be brought up to the altar to be blessed by Pastor. It will then be delivered to the various food pantries in our community. We thank you as always for your support.
